The live performance will take place at The Women’s Building in San Francisco’s Mission District, and will feature women singing familiar and what at first seem to be innocuous love songs, but when listened to more carefully reveal more complex attitudes towards women. It is a humorous, poetic reflection on the state of our culture in the midst of the great turbulence called our times.
When you register you can access free tickets for any of the dates and hours noted above. Tickets are not necessary for children under 5. Tickets are transferrable.
We respectfully request that our visitors order a maximum of 4 tickets per person over the entire weekend of the performance. The Women’s Building has limited space and we want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to experience this event.
C Project was founded by Carla Emil to bring original performance-based art experiences to San Francisco. The foundation will commission leading contemporary artists to create site specific art events in nontraditional venues that will be free and open to the public. Romantic Songs of the Patriarchy is C Project’s inaugural event.
